On Tuesday, April 2, 2013, we had a group of people in our class that set up a fundraiser at Eli’s Pizza. It was a great event because of all the people that came out to support our cause. There were a lot of people from the Quinnipiac University community, and it shows that people here are willing to donate their time and money to such a great cause. The Quinnipiac University community is a community of great leaders and great people that care for others.
For this event, I went with another one of the girls in the class, Alison. It was a lot of fun and when we made it there, we met with some of the other girls in the class. It was a good way to learn more about each other. I feel like we still do not know a lot about each other, but with this event, it has allowed us to get to know each other a little better without talking about just classes.
When we were being seated, we ended up being sat right next to Professor Gallay, his wife, and one of their friends. It was an interesting experience because it is rare to see professors outside of the classroom environment.
This event was a lot of fun, and I am glad that I went. I think that this was a great way to raise money, and we are closer to reaching our fundraising goal.
